Reading to Treadwell Elementary

I had the honor of reading to over 300 children at Treadwell Elementary in their dual language program. Treadwell is the only school in SCS with a dual language program, where Spanish-speaking students learn English and English-speaking students learn Spanish. This gives both groups an early step ahead in education and work skills. I read in English and Spanish to kindergarteners and first graders. Treadwell, like my school, Bolton, is a Shelby County optional school.
