AU Stickers: A Children’s Miracle Network Fundraiser

I’m selling American University inspired stickers in benefit of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! Put these strong stick, removable without residue, sun & water resistant, dishwasher and microwave safe stickers on your laptop, phone, water bottles, notebooks, folders, and anything else your heart desires. Name: C/O 1988
I don’t get it: Michael Cohen graduated from AU in 1988. This sticker is a play on the Wonk Bus (AU shuttle) that says “AU faculty appear in the news every 30 minutes.”

Name: AU Knows Success
I don’t get it: Judge Judy Sheindlin graduated from AU in 1966. She is the crown jewel of AU grads (as the other famous ones are into spying and collusion.) Based on the “AU Knows Success” campaign.

Name: I knew I should’ve stayed home this semester
I don’t get it: The wonk bus as the ‘Magic School Bus’ from the children’s show of the same name.

Name: What’s the difference between SIS and SPA?
I don’t get it: This quote is emblazoned on the inside steps of Kerwin Hall, the SPA building, that I, a STEM major, am forced to confront everyday I have HNRS 210.

Series 1: Wonk if you Love AU

Name: An AU Wonk appears in the news every 30 minutes
I don’t get it: Maria Butini is an alleged Russian spy that was a graduate student at American University. This sticker is a play on the Wonk Bus (AU shuttle) that says “AU faculty appear in the news every 30 minutes.”

Name: The Treachery of Metros
I don’t get it: This is inspired by the famous Magritte, “The Treachery of Images,” otherwise known as “This is not a pipe.” The text, in French, reads, “This is not a red line.”

Name: That’s My President
I don’t get it: Sylvia Burwell, beloved president of American University. The flower crown is a meme that originated with Joe Biden ice cream stickers. The text is a play on the Trump hashtag, #NotMyPresident.

Name: The Treachery of Surrealism
I don’t get it: Unlike “The Treachery of Metros,” this sticker proclaims that it is, indeed, a red line. Inspired by the Metro’s voice of god that always says, “This is a red line train to: [Shady Grove or Glenmont].”

Name: All through Tenleytown
I don’t get it: The Wonk Bus is a slang term for the American University shuttle that runs through AU’s campus and Tenleytown. Available with “The Wheels on the Bus” text and without.

Name: Wonk Cat
I don’t get it: The Wonk Cat is AU’s resident stray cat that lives across from McKinley. Also a B99 reference.

Name: Choose Your Side
I don’t get it: There is not 1, not 2, but 6 places on AU’s campus you can buy coffee. Get this sticker and check off (with a permanent marker) which campus coffee shops you rep, and display it for all the wonks to see.
