I finished my PhD
May 18, 2026I defended my PhD in March and participated in the hooding ceremony and commencement ceremonies at Rensselaer Polytechnic.
After almost 9 years as a college student, from DC to NY, through a global pandemic and many other ‘unprecedented’ events, 5 major/career changes, a year as Miss United States, two NASA internships, and a first year full-time teaching while finishing writing my dissertation, I can confidently say that 2017 Lily could have never imagined where we ended up
