Recent Happenings

I read Goodnight Astronaut during a STEM storytime at the New Effington Community Center in South Dakota. I even met some future astronauts there, too!

We had a library storytime scheduled, but after the main library lost power (due to storms), I ended up donating the books and doing a meet and greet at the town’s other library and city hall.

Ms. Woman United States and I stopped by the Palms-Rancho Park branch of the Los Angeles Public Library to read some space-themed books to their kiddos!

I dropped off some STEM book donations at the Bear Lake County Library in the beautiful state of Idaho!

I read Ada Twist, Scientist during a STEM storytime at the Muscle Shoals Public Library in Alabama.

I visited Bon Lin Middle School (where I graduated from in 2013!) to talk with students about careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and host engineering workshops for three of Bon Lin’s STEM classes.

I visited the American Computer & Robotics Museum in Bozeman, Montana, and also stopped by the Montana Science Center for a ‘Shark Lady’ storytime!

I visited Newburgh Elementary School in southern Indiana, where I graduated from in 2011! I read STEM books to the K-2 students and toured the school.

I read Ada Twist, Scientist during a science storytime at the Explorium Children’s Museum in Denton, Texas.

I hosted a “Charlotte the Scientist” storytime at the Hankinson Library in North Dakota.

I attended the STEM NOLA and Johnson & Johnson Health Fair and STEM Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I read “On a Beam of Light”, a story about Albert Einstein, at the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City, Utah!

A free event at the Children’s Museum of Cleveland for families living in the Central, AsiaTown, MidTown, Hough, Fairfax, St. Clair Superior, & Glenville neighborhoods surrounding the Museum.

I stopped by Airway Science for Kids, a nonprofit that promotes STEAM education and aviation access for underserved youth. I read ‘Rosie Revere, Engineer’ to kids at their Open Science Saturday and took a flight with their staff!

A paleontology story-time at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History! I read “Dinosaur Lady: The Daring Discoveries of Mary Anning, the First Paleontologist” to kids at the museum and got a special tour of exhibits and new construction!

I held Science Storytimes at the Alaska Museum of Science and Nature and at the Alaska Botanical Garden.
